Tackle Baldness with right nutrition
Reversing androgenetic alopecia (genetic baldness) is not possible. However, fixing hair loss that is due to poor nutrition is possible:
Keratin, the basic constituent of hair is a protein. you need to eat healthy and sufficient quantities of protein per day. Vegetarians can include higher biological value protein like sprouts, legumes, grains.
Copper, iron, zinc and magnesium are essential for healthy hair. Nuts, liver, egg, spinach and dairy provide these minerals essential to prevent baldness due to poor nutrition.
Vitamin B complex
Biotin and vitamin B12 are important to prevent baldness and support hair growth. Include fermented foods, nuts, eggs and cereal to improve the intake of these vitamins. These help improve Hb levels which further nourishes hair follicles for growth.
Spinach, amla (gooseberries), citrus fruits, tomatoes and peppers are good source of vitamin C. This helps build collagen, which prevents hair damage and in turn reduces hair loss. This particular Vitamin also helps in preventing premature greying.
This promotes growth of hair follicles and prevents hair loss. Remember to include more of orange and yellow coloured fruits and vegetables. Some common ones are orange, pumpkin, mango, papaya carrots etc.
Eating right is not just essential for the right body or improved fitness. If your hair is what you want, remember to eat right.
